The Northern Uganda Rehabilitation Programme (NUREP)

Northern Uganda Rehabilitation Programme participated in an Exhibition organized alongside the AU Special Summit on IDPs and Refugees held at Speke Resort Munyonyo from 19th to 23rd October 2009.

Of special interest to visitors to the NUREP stall was a honey processing projects targeting IDPs being implemented in Amuria District. Visitors to the stall included Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe, the President of Somali, the First Lady of Uganda Janet Museveni and several foreign dignitaries and Uganda Government cabinet ministers.During the exhibition, NUREP showcased the different interventions it is undertaking to address the challenges of displacement. Five NUREP partners; OXFAM, CPAR, AVSI, Concerned Parents Association (CPA) and Soroti Environment Concern (SEC), participated in the exhibition.
